Overview

 

DHL Worldwide Express relies upon its global network of offices, hubs, and gateways in order to maintain its position as the world's largest and most experienced international air express network. Up-to-date, accurate information must be distributed across the network in order to keep the workforce informed and ensure that everyone is following the proper procedures.

 

The Latin American Regional Office is one part of the global DHL network. In its coordination of 46 countries in the Latin American Region, it uses the Web as a major communications tool and means of sharing information. In order to support new programs aimed at revolutionizing the way it does business in the regions, DHL needed to develop an information sharing intranet site, the Communications Center. The site would serve as a central hub and gateway for the new programs, providing access to news, information, reports, common tools, and online services.
